Use a simple plug in called WordPress Database Backup Plugin to create a backup of your blog database. You can then have it emailed to you as an attachment. If you use Gmail then you can set a filter so that it bypasses the inbox and gets archived with a label of your choosing. Of course most email programs allow filters but this was designed for use with Gmail.
We all know backup is essential but how many of us do it regularly? This way you can set it to back up and email to you once an hour, once a day, once a week. It is very handy. Never be at a loss in case of server failure.
Thanks for the mention
I found your post terribly useful. I have been using it and now I sleep much easier. I just wonder if once in a while I should delete the email with 128 conversations to make room on Gmail.
